Visdet contains Levocetirizine, a modern, non-sedating antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergies. It works by blocking the action of histamine—a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms—thereby reducing sneezing, itching, runny nose, watery eyes, and skin allergies.

It provides long-lasting relief from allergy symptoms with once-daily dosing and is generally well-tolerated

Most side effects are mild and temporary. These may include:

• Drowsiness or sleepiness

• Headache

• Dry mouth

• Fatigue

• Stomach pain (occasionally in children)

Rare but serious side effects:

• Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)

• Agitation or abnormal behavior (mostly in children)

ViSDET is commonly prescribed for:

• Allergic rhinitis (seasonal or perennial)

• Urticaria (hives or skin rash)

• Sneezing and nasal congestion

• Watery eyes and itching of the eyes/nose

• Chronic idiopathic urticaria

• Take ViSDET once daily, preferably in the evening, with or without food.

• Avoid alcohol while taking this medication, as it may increase drowsiness.

• Do not drive or operate heavy machinery if you feel sleepy after taking it.

• Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems or are taking any other medications.

• Not recommended for children below 6 years without medical supervision.
